Franz Michael Felder (1839 – 1869) was a writer of note and a social reformer in the Bregenzerwald. You pass the house where he was born and resided in Schoppernau, and plaques point out his works along the way. Via the alpine pasture settlement of Vorderhopfreben you reach Hinterhopfreben, where the Felder family also had a hut.
